Journals and Books

I love the feel of paper and making journals and books. I use handmade paper and commercial paper for signatures and use recycled boxes, paper, books, cardboard and stone for the covers to create “Art Books and Journals. Some are made to be used and others are just visual and conceptional works.  A lot of images I use originate from books, magazines, TV, video, objects themselves, and ideas that I’ve drawn on paper.

I also use old discarded prints from printmaking as well as handmade papers. I love making mini works of art and collages because I have a lot of “leftovers” and just hate to throw them away. I create  “recycled” art. The fragments or pieces of several prints when collaged together produce a separate, unique work unto itself.
